St. Cecilia Roman Catholic School
Congratulations St. Cecilia School on being honored as a "School of Contribution" from Children's Inc. Service Learning Initiative!
St. Cecilia School was honored for participating in high quality service learning experiences throughout our local community and beyond. Our students have learned the invaluable skill of being able to organize information and resources in order to help our neighbors. One of best qualities of being a school of contribution is being able to foster lifelong connections between our students, our communities and the world outside the classroom. All grades K-8 are participating in this wonderful program. Please consider helping us fulfill God's call to help those in need.
Our next service project is from Mrs. Egan's 3rd Grade class! Support our 2013 Christmas Toy Drive. All students are encouraged to bring in a NEW toy to donate to the DCCH Center for Children and Families from December 10th-13th. On Friday, December 13th, students will be invited to bring their toys to Mass to participate in a special offertory procession. Gifts should not be wrapped. Thank you in advance for your generosity!
'For I was hungry and you gave me food, I was thirsty and you gave me drink, I was a stranger and you welcomed me, I was naked and you clothed me, I was sick and you visited me, I was in prison and you came to me.’ Then the righteous will answer him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see you hungry and feed you, or thirsty and give you drink? And when did we see you a stranger and welcome you, or naked and clothe you? And when did we see you sick or in prison and visit you?’ And the King will answer them, ‘Truly, I say to you, as you did it to one of the least of these my brothers, you did it to me.’ -Matthew 25: 35-40
